Ragnarok Online (GM Email Response)

Just got home from work, to find that I got a reply from the iRO team. Lets see what it says.

Dear Mr. Awesome.

Your Question :

Hello,

I`ll keep the e-mail short as I`m sure you get quite a few of these.

Basically what troubles me is the declining amount of players that leave RO in such a short time leaving this game feeling empty.

I`ve been a iRO customer since open Beta 2, and I`ve learned a lot and had a bunch of great times with this game, as well as the honor to lead a great guild with wonderful guild mates (-The Fallen Angels-). This has to have been one of the most thrilling MMORPG I`ve ever played. I usually get bored of them pretty quickly too after a month or so. But this game has grasped me since Beta 2.

Now obviously, if you compare now to then, there is a huge, huge difference in population. I joined this game because of all the players it had. There was so much to do and so many people. I love competition and thats what this game had lots fo offer. It was rare to see a map empty, but now its just too common and its really horrible to see that its just getting worse.

I could go on, but lets cut to the chase. I`ve heard several rumors that this game is seeing its last breath very soon. I highly doubt this myself as its just a rumor. But is there going to be anything done to bring back players and restore RO to what it once was? Obviously not as big as when it was F2P, but at least something decent.

Chaos Prontera feels like Sakray from a year ago. You guys said you had made a decision with Sakray, and I hope its something that`ll make everyone happy and every bring a few extra players back or something. I know advertisement was mentioned, but is that really enough?

Basically I just don`t want to see a good game die and not be able to play on my characters anymore. I also don`t want the game to get boring either.

Anyway I`ll stop here.

Thanks for listening and your time,
-Chrispy

Doesn't really say much at all other then "we know the game is dying and we eventually need to do something about it".

At least they had the decency to reply pretty quick though :). Their customer service has drastically improved over the years. Lets just hope the actual game follows that same route soon.
